OOTD #4 - spring is arriving

Finally the sun is starting to break through the rain clouds and attempt to heat the icy breeze! Although, as I live in Manchester it still only manages to rain whenever I step outside the house (typical). It is a lovely day today but I shall be keeping myself well inside the house writing my dissertation so I don't ruin the weather for the rest of you. That doesn't stop me putting together a nice spring inspired outfit though.

I think this is a result of all the My Mad Fat Diary episodes I've been watching recently but I got the old mom jeans out and paired them with this lovely pastel purple fluffy jumper I got the other week from Primark. I think it was only about £6...maybe £10...but it's a perfect piece for Spring.

Right, back to work now. Soon this long slog of work will be over (praise the lord!).

How gorgeous are these shoes? Seriously fell in love the second I saw them on Asos, but alas they didn't have them in my size so obviously I went back to check every day and finally they had them in my size and they were even in the sale by that time. Goes to show, everything worth having is worth waiting for!

I love the sudden change of weather recently. Today has been beautiful. If today is anything to go by I feel like spring has been completely forgotten about and we're straight into summer. We've been at my Mike's mum's house this weekend as Mike had a game yesterday against his old team, Fylde. So yesterday I went to watch his game and then today we went to play a bit of frisbee by the beach because it was so nice out. Sometimes it's just really nice to go back home away from the city and get some fresh air and give your mind a bit of a break too. With final year deadlines fast approaching it has definitely been a break we both needed.

Anyway, I hope the weather stays like this now because I cannot wait to start getting all my spring/summer clothes out. No doubt I will compile a wishlist together soon because there are so many things I've seen recently that are just perfect for the warmer seasons.
