Outfit #1

Yeyyyyyy first outfit post!!! All photos have to be from my phone for the mean time but in the right lighting they can be pretty decent.

Freshers week has just finished at my uni in Manchester, however I am just going into my third year so unfortunately it was less partying and more work. Very excited yet nervous to be finishing this year, but I have finally found the career path I want to go down so I am so focused and determined to get the grades so I can get there.

Anyway, I did go out one night this week and this was my outfit

Bag - Primark (not on sale anymore)

Shoes - New Look (not on sale anymore)

Necklace - Topshop (not on sale anymore)

I have some more posts lined up as I 'accidentally' went shopping this week, so I might do some outfit posts with what I bought or do a haul post. So let me know which you'd prefer in the comments below!!

FOTD #1

My first attempt at getting outfit photos failed miserably, I definitely need a stand and a remote for my camera so they will be ordered asap....or just get my boyfriend to take them ;)

So I decided a 'what's on my face' post would be a bit easier. I am only a beginner with digital camera so bare with me.

On my face I am wearing:

Rimmel - sun shimmer bronzer

Benefit - brow zing in dark

Vivo - blusher in peaches and cream (available at tesco)

Two colours from MUA - eye shadow palette Heaven and Earth

The liner shadow from Benefit - big beautiful eyes kit

Rimmel - scandal eyes mascara

Mac lipstick - please me

I don't feel like my make-up has shown up very well on these photos, maybe it was the bad lighting. If anyone has any advice please let me know in the comments.

However, I did manage to get a beautiful photos of my baby boy, Otto.

Ooooooooo, he's just such a cutey little ball of fluff. I miss him loads while at uni, and he's very lost without me when I'm away too. Bless him!

A/W Trends 2013 - Part One

Only just started this blog and I've already had a big break from it, oops! There is a reason though, I'm not just being lazy. I've been working very hard over the last month and because I'm only temporary (because I'm going back to uni this week) I've been filling in for people all over the warehouse which means I get the most irregular shifts.

Anyway... I have been looking forward to A/W for months now. I love the new trends coming in and I can't wait for boots and knitwear. So I have compiled some outfits to fit in with this seasons trends.

Apologies for the photo-heavy post, once I started searching online I just couldn't stop finding things I loved. Typical when I have no money!

I know every blogger and their friends love the zara skort so you're probably sick of seeing it, but I just love how they can be dressed up or down, and perfect for going into the colder months with a pair of tights. Also, with the motel dress. Simple but can be dressed in so many different ways. I'd just love to pair it with any of these cut-out boots. I must say that the Miss Selfridge boots are actually on sale at the moment, down to £30....perfect!

Missguided have some amazing pieces right now. I've seen previews of their A/W collection and you'll definitely see some of those pieces on my wishlist. But I think this top is gorgeous, though it is a bit pricey. Boo! How good would it look with the asos jacket?!?! Which is a bit too pricey too....is it christmas yet??

Absolutely loving being able to buy primark clothes via asos, genius! If you didn't already know, seriously gurl...where you been for the past few months?! Not sure I'd buy this dress because summer is almost over now, but could be good with a jumper over the top and tights. We'll see.

Little Grey Fairytales and Little White Lies

Soooo, first post!! Yippee! I did actually start a blog a few years ago, but once I read my posts back after a couple of months I realised how cringey and awful they were, and how bad the picture quality was, that I promptly deleted everything. Kinda like going back on myspace and thinking 'what the hell was I thinking?! Jesus!'.

Anyway, I thought I'd start with a little 'get to know me' type thing:

My name is Hazel. I am 20 and originally from a small town called Ashby-de-la-Zouch in Leicestershire. I am just about to start my 3rd and final year (scary!) studying maths at Manchester Metropolitan Uni. I still have no idea what career I want to eventually go in to...maybe finance or something similar?

I've been in a relationship with my coursemate (and now housemate too) for about a year and 2 months now, and couldn't be happier with him. I'm sure I'll be mentioning him plenty of times on here in the future...if he lets me. I am extremely proud of how far he's come. Not only is he very intelligent and, dare I say it, better at maths than me, he has just got a contract playing for Sedgley Park Tigers RUFC. Meaning he is now a semi-pro playing in the National 2 North League. Amazing! It still blows me away when I realise he's not just playing for a local boys club down the road.

I've always wanted to start a blog myself, as I read so many blogs already and I am quite literally obsessed with reading blogs and discovering new ones. And I feel I need to express and receive opinions about hair, make up, clothes and general interior diy to/from someone other than my boyfriend, as I think I may be boring him to death by now.
